Description of HSPA+ Industrial 3G UMTS Router H685
H685p 3G Router is from H685 series family, which supports the latest IEEE802.11n as well as IEEE802.11b/g standards and provides wireless receiving and transmitting rate of up to 150 Mbps. External antenna connectors make it possible to attach desired antennas and to easily find the best signal location.
With smart size, H685p owns high speed wireless and Ethernet connections. It built-in high quality industrial LTE modem module, which can reach download rate of up to 100 or 150Mbps and upload rate up to 50Mbps.
H685 unlock UMTS router is ideal for people who would like to share their internet or private network, as it is not restricted by a cumbersome cable connection. With multi-WAN failover feature, the H685 router still supports internet distribution via a broadband cable, simply plug it in to the wan port, set the router to a correct mode and you‘re ready to browse.

Whilst it can certainly provide a reliable 3G mobile broadband connection with wired and Wireless LAN connections, the H685 3G WCDMA Router will not have many of the office type functions such as allocating IP addresses based upon MAC address so we would recommend that you use a multi-functional 3G/4G Router like the H720 4G Router which combines many office type features including easy VPN configuration and load balancing with the M2M features such as ping reboot and SMS reboot to ensure a reliable 3G/4G mobile broadband internet connection with enhanced functionality and management.
Q. What antennas come with the E-Lins H685 3G Unlock UMTS Router?
A. The E-Lins H685 3G Unlock UMTS Router is supplied with both stick type and magnetic mount antennas for both the Cellular and WiFi connections - these 3G antennas are for indoor use only and the different types are included for your installation convenience. Many users will just use the stick type antennas except when installing the router in a cabinet or other enclosed unit where there may be signal interference in which case the magnetic mount antennas installed outside the enclosure may provide better signal reception.
Q. Can I use an external 3G antenna with my E-Lins H685 3G Unlock UMTS Router?
A. Yes - the E-Lins H685 3G unlock umts router has screw type SMA antenna connectors so can be used with an external antenna. The higher gain on these outdoor antennas is not to improve the download speeds, the extra gain is required to compensate for the additional signal loss down the length of the antenna cable.
